Correct measuring separates a curtain that hangs beautifully from one that is short, narrow or strained. Before anything is sewn, the space must be measured on site. The order is this:
- Decide where it will hang. Does the track or pole go on the wall, on the ceiling or inside a recess? Every other dimension depends on it.
- Measure the width. Take the length of the track and add the fullness needed for the folds, depending on the fabric.
- Measure the height. From the track to the floor, with one choice: touching the floor, lightly breaking on it or stopping just above. Check whether the floor slopes.
- Look at the obstacles. Radiators, sockets, handles and furniture affect the length and design.
If the building is new and floors or final dimensions are not finished, the final measuring is done afterwards, so corrections are not needed.
We measure on site, in Greece and abroad, and take care of installation as well.
Frequently asked questions
Can I measure myself?
You can give a first estimate, but for production on-site measuring is preferred.
